Dear mom and dad,
The end of our recycling unit is near. So far we have:
- measured trash
- buried trash to see what decomposes
- interviewed people on how they reduce, reuse, recycle
- had the Lorax visit our homes
- gone on a field trip to Wonder Welders
- taken action by starting up a whole school project to collect plastic bottles so they can be recycled
We are now ready to start working on our post-assessment. For our post-assessment, we will have to demonstrate our understanding of reducing, reusing and recycling. For this, we can choose to work with a partner or by ourselves. We have to put together a song, skit, puppet show, play or something else that’s creative to show what we have learned. We will be using the rubric below as criteria.
We will have to decide next week what we are going to do. Please remember this is MY project and not a parent project but is sure would be useful if you could talk to me this weekend about possible creative ideas and about the content of my performance. We could brainstorm ideas which would make it easier for me to choose something next week.
